Program Overview

The Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) (Intensive) program provides students with comprehensive preparation for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) examinations through intensive instruction.

Students will choose 5-8 subjects based on the Compulsory and Selective Modules.

Program Duration

12 months Full-Time (5 days per week, 6 hours per day)

*All classes will be conducted in a face-to-face manner.

Entry Requirements

  • Age: at least 16 years old
  • Language: Pass Secondary 3/Grade 9 English or equivalent level or 50% pass in ESIC's English placement test.
  • Academic: Completion of Secondary 3/Grade 9 or equivalent qualifications.
Assessment & Certification

Internal Assessments

  • Termly
  • Annually

Assessment will be conducted through theory and/or practical methods.

Certification

Upon completion of the program, students will receive an ESIC Certificate of Attendance.

Graduation Requirements

  • Local Students (Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents) and Dependant's Pass holders must achieve at least 75% attendance and not be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reasons.
  • International Students (Student's Pass holders) must achieve at least 90% attendance and not be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reasons.

Course Commencement Dates

There are four intakes for this course. This course commences in January, March, July, and September of each year.

Next intake commencement and end dates (tentative) is 05/01/2026 to 04/01/2027.

The College reserves the right to cancel a class if the minimum number of students enrolled is less than 15. Students may then choose to enroll for a later intake, if any, or withdraw from the course. For refund, please refer to our Refund Policy.
